  1. #1 is often called tunnel vision, at least in on my fire department it is. It can be a positive but also a real problem. You get so focused on the task at hand that you do it with amazing precision but you can miss important information. It seems to be common for emergency workers. I’m guessing its because emergency workers normally care a great deal about doing a good job and doing it quickly that the mind focuses so much on it that it blocks out literally everything else.
