yeah, i also prefer code geass in how cool the powers are in compare to death note and in my opinion the death note is more of a cowards ability to kill your enemies from afar that’s way L was more popular than light and everything went down hill when L died.

And here I thought this would be a discussion about the similarities and differences between the two…
I think Code geass was better.
Lelouch was way more likeable and also more intelligent than Light. His motives made more sense, his backstory was better and he was voiced by Johnny Yong Bosh which is probably the best English voice actor. I mean he voiced Lelouch, Izaya or Hajime.
While Death note did sometimes have better story telling, after L’s death it just went hill down. While the ending of Code geass was probably the saddest but also most amazing endings ever made. And come on If you could choose between the death note or Lelouch’s geass, we would all choose the geass.
the first 25 episodes of death note are probabily the best 25 episodes in all of anime but it falls after then I barely watched it full but code geass never falls its so intense I can watch it again and again and THAT ENDING was freaking awsome…….If you ask me I would say code geass but not by far death note just could not hold on after l’s death…..
They’re both great animes. For me, Code Geass takes the cake all day!
Code Geass for me! But i think that osts should have been a criteria too as they make the whole anime experience 10 times as good
Finding it funny that people are saying that Geass is better when there is a vital flaw with it. Once Lelouch gives an order with his Geass he can’t change it.

Death Note could have been so much better. If the writers didn’t fuck it up in the middle. But, Code Geass has a great story, the last bit was a little messy, but it’s ending was perfect.
Death Note ep 1-17 is better than Code Geass in my opinion. The reason for that is because Death Note was written much better than Code geass up until this point. That being said, Death Note completely failed after L died.
Code Geass however, is better in every other way. Character development, character utilization, overall plot, plot resolution etc etc. Death note was kinda boring coming down to the end imo but it was still a great anime overall.
I think art/animation/music is great for both, that’s something you can’t really determine which is better over the other.
This is all my opinion and both anime should be watched because both are great.
