A big thing people forget about is that Nina Simone was also heavier. Nina was pro dark skin and pro body weight when everyone wanted to be light or thin or both. She spoke about it often about being true to yourself and not fitting in a mode. That’s what make the casting disrespectful Zoe is the opposite of everything she spoke about with prejudice against weight and skin tone. I still love Zoe but bad call Hollywood.
