We’re in the dog days of Summer and the releases haven’t slowed down yet! While you may be dreading going back to school, you can certainly be excited for some the new things being released this month! Not only is Netflix’s The Defenders dropping this month, but we’ll be getting a new Death Note movie, as well as a new Uncharted expansion. Not only that, but Queens of the Stone Age’s Villains may just become the rock album of the year for all those music fans! What are you most excited for in the month of June? It seems like we have a boring August here coming….
Wow, the movie line-up for this month is awfully weak compared to July.
The death note movie looks awful. So far, it’s nothing like the anime. It takes place in Seattle first of all. Secondly, the main character is a delinquent while in the original, he was a genius. Him being a genius made him more intriguing and terrifying because he could think up horrible ways to use the death note so he wouldn’t be caught. Also, I read an article about how the creators turned away Asian actors for the role “because they were Asian”. Even though the original takes place in Japan and ALL OF THE CHARACTERS ARE JAPANESE.

August is packed with exciting new releases. Something I’m excited for in addition to everything else is the Glass Castle.
