Welcome back everyone – a while ago I talked about scary Hitchhiking stories. You guys seemed to love it. I think Hitchhiking may be less common these days, especially with the rise of ride sharing apps – maybe thats why it makes it so interesting to us? Especially when things go horribly wrong. These are some examples of that, and they arent for the faint hearted. My name is Danny Burke and this is the Top 10 Scary Hitchhiking Stories Part 2.

  1. Yay for Walhalla recognition! There are other cool things in Walhalla, too. The old high school/current Walhalla Middle is said to be haunted and there’s a deadly interstate near said school. You should look into the town more!

  2. Over the summer I went to Japan on a really fun homestay trip. I was heading to a manga store from Akihabara area to Ikebukuro (Both are parts of Tokyo). I went to the subway station and made eye contact with a man in front of me in line(A common occurrence when you’re a white person. Add in bright pink hair and you get a lot of looks). As not to make it super awkward and also out of general concern, I asked the man if I was on the right line and he said he was going to the same stop as me because he lived in Ikebukuro. I smiled and nodded and went back to my own business, looking at my phone and such as I waited for the subway train to arrive, but he kept looking at me and smiling. Once the train arrived, I stepped on board and walked over to a nearby area. The seats were full, but here was plenty of aisle space. I took my spot and the guy from earlier comes and stood next to me. He then asked me where is was from and why I was in Japan. He gave me kind of a creepy vibe and such, but I tried to brush it off. A lot of people asked where I was from so I kinda just thought he was awkward.
The people behind his got off so I sat down first then he sat next to me. He started complimenting my eyes and skin, as well as my hair(all really common compliments in Japan), but then he kept talking about how cute I was. But not like a normal way I usually got. Like kinda repetitive and honestly really weird. And to a point where I realized it was weird.
The man asked me my age so I answered honestly with fifteen and he said he was forty three. A lot of people thought I was around twenty when I was there, so I didn’t think much of his surprise, but then he started calling me cute and attractive again. Which then progressed to him asking me to go to his house and for contact info. He also asked for my full name, so I gave him some false information just to calm him down. When I declined his offer of going to his house, he kept pressuring me to go. I kinda thought it was like… I dunno, some nice mannerism or something, but he just kept pushing it the more I declined.
Once we arrived at the stop, I got off and quickly went the other way. He asked me where I was going and I told him I had to use the restroom or something like that. Then he finally went away. Aaaanyways, that’s my weird story. -Andi
