The lemonade stand story sounds similar to the story of the girl selling water to go to Disneyland. She was harassed by a woman the internet refers to as “Permit Patty”, who actually faked a call to the cops to scare the girl and her mom away. (Permit Patty, meanwhile, was actually selling marijuana-based treats for dogs on that corner.)

I wad warned by the police when I was a kid that I wasn’t allowed to sell frozen popsicles from my house. I had a sign nailed to the front tree that had 2 popsicles for a quarter, and they didn’t like that because I didn’t have a permit.
