Some major rumblings took place in Hollywood this week, and we’ve got the goods! According to sources, after numerous setbacks in production and release dates, Netflix is about to acquire the rights for the third instalment of the Cloverfield franchise from Paramount. Meryl Streep made a lot of waves this week, as she was not only nominated for a record 21st Oscar, but was also cast in the second season of the critically acclaimed HBO original, Big Little Lies. And finally, the Academy released their nominations for the 90th Academy Awards and The Shape of Water, Get Out and Lady Bird all scored big time nods! Really dissapointed with this years nominations.. So I guess any movie that’s about a strong female character or about gay or transsexual couple will be nominated for best picture or at least considered one of the best movies of the year. Also, is Maryl Streep so damn good in everything that she is nominated every fucking year? I haven’t seen her in any major movie or show..
Just because she isn’t in anything major doesn’t mean she isn’t the greatest actress of all time. Look at Kristen stewart, she is a terrible actress even though she has been in lots of big movies
Danny Doyle I think Blade Runner 2049 should have gotten a Best Picture and Best director nomination personally.
