In my opinion the pilot for Rick and Morty isn’t cannon as the gromphlomites have control over inter dimensional travel which (later on) states that the gromphlomites are looking for control over travel through different dimensions.
NEW THEORY- Simple rick is the rick in the fake origin story in episode 1
Also remember for the Rick is Morty theory he tells Morty Annie has a *Puffy Vagina* … hmmm how would Rick know that?
