You could include Robert Hansen (a.k.a. “The Butcher Baker”), a serial killer in the 1970’s who abducted women, took them to remote Alaska and hunted them down like animals. One lady managed to escape, return to Anchorage and tell the authorities who didn’t believe her and thought she was crazy because of her known chosen…*ahem*…”line of work.” The serial killer went on to attack and kill several more women before eventually being caught.
