well you cant have a game dealing with time and not some shit go down to break the space time continuum.
Can it be considered a theory if I think Geralt is likely Polish?
Hey Watchmojo, you have some bad and good top 10’s and this is one of the best ones you’ve ever done! Good job and keep it up 👍
Representation in video games isn’t important. Well written characters are important.
Very true
There’s actually one you guys missed although I don’t care whether you include it or not (maybe if you made another list like this in the future) – there is that one game theory that speculates that Doom, Wolfenstein and Commander Keen exist in the same universe and that protagonists of these games are related.
Well it turns out from the mouths of John Romero and Tom Hall and the game manual The Official Hint Manual of Wolfenstein 3-D that it is indeed true – B.J. Blazkowicz of Wolfenstein 3-D (and not of the new games unfortunately) is the grandfather of Billy Blaze aka B.J. Blazkowicz II – and according to Hall, the son of a very eccentric newscaster – and that Doomguy/B.J. Blazkowicz III is Blaze’s son. And further still, Billy Blaze chose the name Commander Keen after the name of a colleague of his grandfather who appeared in the Wolfenstein RPG game
I’d be surprised if the developers of the new Wolfenstein games throw in an Easter egg to Commander Keen and/or the Doom games.
