  1. These timelines are somewhat confusing to me. By the time William and his father-in-law invest in the park, is Arnold already dead?

  2. Remarkable how William and Ford are still in control. Ford being “dead” speaks volumes to his significance over his creations.

  3. The Abernathy theory is interesting but I do think Delos could have a host copy of himself or he was promised it by the company and they double crossed him in some way. I just think that him being trapped in Abernathy is a bit of a stretch. The host that is with Angela when they bring Logan to the demonstration mentions a company name that starts with A. I can’t remember what it was but it seems to introduce that Ford possibly had another partner or money man to start Westworld. This introduces a question we didn’t consider before, How did Arnold and Ford get the initial funding to create the first section of the park and the hosts? Delos came in supposedly after the incident with Delores and Teddy to keep it running and collect information from the guests. A story line from the second Westworld film where they collect information and DNA from guests to clone them is what I think they are trying to redo in the show. I’m sure they will do some spin on it but the whole weapon/door thing is what really grabbed me this episode. I assume it is going to take the place of the maze from season one, where it is this goal/destination they are trying to get to the whole season (also strongly believe the entire season is going to take place during the 2 weeks that the park is offline with flashbacks and forwards to before and after the incident). I don’t think the weapon/door will be as metaphorical as the maze. It will most likely be a way out of the park, a way to phantom menace style kill all the hosts or it could be that facility Bernard was taken to where those ripped genderless hosts are are logging host information. That really is the beauty of this show, every single minute of it is filled with signs of things to come if you look for them, everything adds up, not a bit of fat on it.
