8:50 I think this is bait, but they did say that the auto/remote pilot was finished by Bruce in one of the scenes. He ditched his plane, and piloted it remotely out of the city.
5:29 Except JC did say ONE of them was the Thing. Just all the theories trying to point to Childs as the Thing have been debunked. He wanted it to be ambiguous and impossible to truly tell which was the Thing.
